Good news everyone...
Over the last week, several sources from within the animation business have indicated that there is renewed talk at FOX about bringing fresh Futurama content directly to DVD. While talks are still in the preliminary stages the chances of seeing new Futurama episodes are good.
The following post was taken from billywest.com's message board:
Well, I spoke to David X.Cohen because we did promos for a new Futurama compilation and he said that they did have talks with the top guys at FOX and they were extremely impressed with the sales of the Futurama DVDs. The idea was to make a Futurama movie right to DVD and then a 2nd and a 3rd. That's what's being discussed. Fox is trying to figure out a budget for the whole project, and it sounded like David X. was very jazzed!
I would love more than anything to do that show again. I thought it was best experience on every level... creatively, voice-wise, writing, animation and the laughs. The laughs. Writers and performers that respected each other. 1 comments

ANIMATION DOMINATION: Giving in to the overwhelming popularity of its cartoon shows Fox celebrates the return of (drum roll please) THE FAMILY GUY by turning over their entire Sunday night lineup (that’s this Sunday by the way…tomorrow) to shows starring funny moving drawings. Well almost – they put in a MALCOLM in the middle after KING OF THE HILL. But then it’s the 350th episode of THE SIMPSONS, followed immediately by episode 352, then the return of FAMILY GUY and the debut of Seth McFarlane’s new show AMERICAN DAD.
Wow, with all these cartoons on in one night your friendly neighborhood Comicbookguy is in cartoon heaven. The only problem is that Trailer Park Boys airs at the same time as Family Guy. Have to dust off the old VCR…of course I will have to get the expressed written permission of both Showcase and Mike Clattenberg first…but that shouldn’t be a problem.

This is good news for all you Family Guy fans...
Fox Entertainment President Gail Berman revealed that all-new episodes of FAMILY GUY will begin airing on the network beginning Sunday, May 1. This marks the start of the animated sitcom's second lease on life following stellar DVD sales and high ratings on Cartoon Network following the show's cancellation in 2002.
The new season of FAMILY GUY will air on Fox starting at 9:00 PM. Immediately following the show Fox will air the first episode of AMERICAN DAD, the new series that FAMILY GUY creator Seth McFarlane is producing.
Also airing on May 1 (and directly after AMERICAN DAD) will be the 350th episode of THE SIMPSONS. In "The Heartbroke Kid", Bart will become addicted to junk food after sampling the treats in a new vending machine installed in Springfield Elementary. 1 comments

D’oh! Homer Simpson and the rest of the mustard-colored citizens of Springfield are on strike.
The actors who do the talking for Homer, Bart and the rest of the cartoon stars of the long-running Fox television show ”The Simpsons” are keeping their mouths shut until producers pay them more money, a source familiar with the situation said Thursday
The show’s six principal voice actors, whose contracts expired several months ago, have refused to show up for script readings during the past few weeks, delaying production on the upcoming 16th season of the animated series, the source said.
The show centers on the antics of a beer-guzzling, doughnut-chomping family man named Homer Simpson, his spiky-haired misfit son, Bart, and all their friends and relations in the fictional town of Springfield.
There was no public comment on the salary dispute from the Fox network or the producers at sister studio 20th Century Fox Television, both units of Fox Entertainment Group Inc., which is controlled by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. Ltd. .
