 Only in Canada...
This really blows me away. Yvan Tessier was turned away from an English immersion course at the University of New Brunswick because his guide dog responds only to French commands. Students in the course are expected to communicate only in English at all times during the course, including talking to the dog.
The whole thing is crazy. The dog is not speaking French or English. It's a dog. When his owner isuues a command the dog simply responds based on it's training. Denying the guy access to an education because of his disability is discrimination.

Editor's Note: The Universtiy has reversed it's earlier decision and has allowed Yvan Tessier to attend the class...smart move.
